National defense is the shield of national survival and the patriotic feelings are the soul of national survival. In order to thoroughly implement the Party’s educational policy, further promote the full implementation of national defense patriotism education, boost students’ national defense awareness, and stimulate their patriotic feelings, on the evening of 20th August, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High School Division held a movie viewing activity on the theme of the 70th anniversary of the National Day Parade in the multifunctional lecture hall, which was chaired by Director Wang Yinchai of the International Department and attended by Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai in addition to all teachers and students from Grade 10.
To be concrete, the video of the National Day Parade for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China showcases the powerful lineup and cutting-edge weapons and equipment of our country’s modern military in an all-round way. Meanwhile, the neat pace and majestic momentum demonstrated the prosperity of our country and the increasingly powerful comprehensive national strength. Therefore, the children felt a sense of national pride.
After watching the film, students expressed that as contemporary youth, they felt the prosperity and strength of the great motherland. Furthermore, they expressed that they would study hard and contribute their strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
To sum up, this activity not only sows the seeds of patriotism for students, inspires their sense of responsibility and mission, but also lays a solid foundation for cultivating young people with ideals and responsibilities in the new era.
